real estate, Doug Berry helps clients navigate the home-buying process from

A true Texan with deep roots in Abilene, Doug understands what
makes this community special. Whether he's cruising through town in his classic
1964 Chevy Impala SS or connecting with folks through his passion
for real estate, Doug stays grounded in the values that define West Texas—hard
work, honesty, and community.
Doug’s name is familiar to many locals thanks to his
entrepreneurial background. He owned and operated Doug’s Hubcaps,
co-located with his family’s longtime business, Berry’s Discount Warehouse,
on North Treadaway Boulevard. He also ran Fantasy World Arcade, a
nostalgic nickel arcade that brought together fans of 80s and 90s video
games. These ventures helped shape Doug’s commitment to great customer
service and lasting relationships—qualities that continue to guide his real
estate career.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Angelo State
University and a Master of Business Administration from the
University of Dallas. While earning his MBA, he interned with the U.S.
Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program, working directly
with government-backed home loans. Though USDA-RD policy required him to
place his real estate license on hold during the internship, the experience
gave Doug a deep understanding of the mortgage process from the lender’s
side—knowledge that now benefits his clients in a big way.
In fact, Doug’s dedication to helping others was so strong that
even clients he couldn’t assist immediately would send thank-you
letters—grateful for his honest guidance and clear explanations about how to
become loan-ready in the future.
